Stuttering & Your Job. There are many misperceptions regarding people who stutter and employment. The misperception that we are shy, guarded, anxious, etc. is just not true. People who stutter bring valuable skills to the marketplace and employers should hire people who stutter based on their KSA's (knowledge, skills & abilities) and not disregard them based on communication. Employers can offer reasonable accommodations to those staff who stutter and another good resource is contacting the EAP (Employee Assistance Program). People who stutter are successful in business, medicine, law, entertainment, and politics. Do not count us out!
