Stuttering & the Military. I always questioned whether or not my stutter would keep me from serving my country. I set my goal after high school to join the US Air Force and to NOT let my stutter dictate my life course. Through passing the ASVAB entrance exam and completing a verbal test during the testing phase at the MEPS center, I was accepted into the USAF and it has been an amazing experience serving my country. I did have some difficult moments but through the support of my military buddies, I persevered and received an honorable discharge. If I had to do it all over again I would in a heart beat. Thank you to the USAF for enriching my life and paying for my college education! Go Blue!!!
