Stuttering & Skydiving. Why do you think these two words are similar? As a PWS (Person Who Stutters), I never stepped out of my comfort zone because I felt safe in my little bubble of silence. I would never imagine stepping out of my comfort zone and doing something that I've always wanted to do but the fear was just too crippling. It was all in my head. After two years of personal development and learning about my myself, I am now able to step out of my comfort zone with the tools that I have learned to cope with life's fears. Skydiving was always on my bucket list but fear kept me from pursuing it. A few months ago I just decided that enough was enough. I faced my FEAR head on and the experience was just amazing. I turned my fear into excitement and skydiving was just another thing I needed to do before I left this earth. Do NOT listen to people who tell you that it's like a roller coaster because that is just not true. You feel such peace when you are descending back to the ground. Landing on Galveston beach was the best location for this adventure. I would like to give a HUGE Shout Out to Skydive Galveston (http://www.skydivegalveston.com/) and the amazing skydivers Donnie & Simon. Skydive Galveston treats you like family and I highly encourage everyone to do this!!!!! Thank you to Mariana for jumping with me and Jehovian for opening my eyes to this experience I thought was out of reach for me.
