Stuttering & My Name. It is very frustrating when you have a block in saying your name and the other person responds, "Did you forget your name?" In my 20+ years of speech therapy, I approach this with a statement, "I have a speech impediment". The other individual often apologizes but in some cases, it is just ignored. All I ask is patience and professionalism.
