This year has been difficult for all but especially for my family. Along with my elderly parents, we all tested positive for Covid. Amid the constant hand washing, the wearing of masks, and self-quarantining, somehow we contracted it. My son is asymptomatic and the only symptoms I've experienced have been a loss of taste and smell along with a cough. My mom experienced a high fever for 12 days and we struggled to keep it down with ice packs, Motrin, and ibuprofen. Thankfully my mom's fever broke after 12 days and then my dad told me that he was not feeling well. I rushed him to the ER and after six hours, he was transported to the local hospital. My dad was in ICU for over 7 days and passed on 10/27. We lost a father, husband, grandfather, and a hero on that day. I love and miss you, dad.
